Acceptance of these terms

• By creating an account, signing in, or using FairPlay Bowls in any way, you accept these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
• FairPlay Bowls is operated by the league committee as a community tool for managing lawn bowls handicaps, fixtures, and discussion.
• If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to create an account.

How you may use the app

• You may use FairPlay Bowls to view league statistics, track availability, enter match scores where you are authorised, manage fantasy teams, and participate in the community forum.
• You must provide accurate information when creating an account or entering competition data, and keep your login credentials secure.
• Captains and organisers are granted elevated access to manage fixtures and scores on behalf of their team. That access must only be used for legitimate league business.

Prohibited conduct

• You must not use the app to abuse, harass, impersonate, or threaten another player, captain, or committee member.
• You must not attempt to manipulate handicaps, match results, fantasy scores, or any other data, or introduce inaccurate data knowingly.
• You must not scrape, reverse-engineer, overload, or disrupt the app or its underlying services, or use automated tools to extract data beyond the sync the committee already performs from public league sources.
• You must not post unlawful, defamatory, or commercially promotional content in the forum or in match notes.

Handicaps, predictions & data accuracy

• Handicaps, ratings, and match predictions are statistical estimates generated from publicly available match data and the committee's configured methodology. They are a guide to fair play, not an official league ruling.
• Match data is synced from the public Wirral league website. We are not responsible for inaccuracies in the source data, though we will correct them when reported.
• The committee reserves the right to adjust or override any handicap, rating, or result where it is shown to be incorrect.

Accounts, access & removal

• We may suspend or revoke access for any user who breaches these terms, including captain or organiser privileges.
• You can request removal of your personal data at any time via the Request Removal form. Match results that are part of official league records may be retained in an anonymised form where required for handicap integrity.

Disclaimers & liability

• The app is provided "as is" for community use. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that handicaps or predictions will be free of error.
• To the extent permitted by law, the league committee is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on handicaps, predictions, forum content, or match data presented in the app.
• You are responsible for your own posts and submissions, and you grant the committee a licence to display them within the app for league purposes.
